The Champorcher Valley

Abri Vigneroisa

As the name "Abri" suggests, we are a welcoming and warm structure ready to host you and allow you to escape from routine and chaos, finding yourself in an oasis of peace, which will make you feel immediately at ease.

The building has been recently renovated maintaining the typical characteristics of the Aosta Valley mountain homes, with particular attention to the interiors, which were created by reusing the wood of ancient attics and rare carved doors, thus giving an authentic flavor to your holiday homes.

There are three two-room apartments and a three-room apartment including an attic: the Giaset, the Raty, the Vernouille and the Miserin; consisting of a living room with a double sofa bed and an open kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and single sofa bed and a private balcony or terrace facing south. The top floor, with sloping ceilings, also has two single beds on the mezzanine and a double exposure with two large balconies.

Activities in the surrounding area

Abri Vigneroisa is located 12 km from the valley floor, easily reachable from the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, where the Forte di Bard is located, a great tourist attraction that organizes countless historical, artistic, naturalistic and wildlife exhibitions.

Within a radius of 400 meters there are bars, restaurants, a playground and grocery stores and just 2 km away you can reach the central hamlet of Castello, where you can visit the Church of San Nicola dating back to the 16th century and the characteristic crenellated tower of the 14th century. Also in the center of the town there are various services such as the pharmacy, the butcher, the post office and the visitor center of the Mont Avic Natural Park. A large area of the municipal territory is in fact part of the Mont Avic Natural Park, unique for the vast variety of flora and fauna; furthermore Champorcher borders the Gran Paradiso National Park and for these reasons we are also known as the municipality of parks and lakes.

From the hamlet of Chardonney, 3 km from the property, it is possible to reach the ski slopes via the ski lifts, where the more sporty can practice downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Active holiday

In the summer you can stop in the pine forest, an ideal place for barbecues and quiet afternoons, while in the winter it hosts the cross-country ski trail, for experts and beginners.
Furthermore, at the foot of the facilities, you can rent e-bikes in the summer and skis and snowshoes in the winter, so as to give everyone who wants to experience new emotions in our mountains.

For lovers of walking, a few hundred meters from home you can take the path that leads to the discovery of the secrets of the Val dell'Alleigne; a valley immersed in the most pristine and wild nature, which offers a unique experience between panoramic paths and crystalline lakes, perfect for excursions and relaxation.

Reaching the dirt road towards the Dondena refuge, you can instead take the paths to admire the beauty of the lakes from which we took inspiration for the names of our accommodations and many other spectacular destinations.

For those more interested in history, each hamlet has its own bread oven, in particular even today on the occasion of the Black Bread Festival, Chardonney is cooked in the oven, and its chapel, small but very suggestive.
